Wine Experience in the Rhone Valley

Vineyards can be found the length of the Rhone Valley, the northern part being home to famous appellations such as Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Jospeh and Hermitage, and the south Châteuaneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas and Tavel. The Sablet appellation is one of the top southern Rhône valley wines as it is just one of 21 communes that are able to add their name to the Côtes du Rhône Villages label.  More than 20 different grape varietals are to be found in the region, each suited to the different terroir and climates. Among the most well-known for the red wines are Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Grenache, and for the white wines, Clairette, Marsanne and Viognier.
