News from 01/02/2013
All of Gourmet Odyssey’s partner winemakers were at the Millésime Bio 2013 organic wine fair, and they managed to amass five medals between them .
Millésime Bio is the world’s largest gathering of organic wine makers. During the wine competition, 1070 organic wines were blind tasted by the expert jury who selected the winners based on the wines that they most liked taste wise.
After many hours of deliberation and tasting, the verdict fell... And the winners are...
Château de la Bonnelière:
Gold Medal! For the AOC Chinon “Clos de la Bonnelière” 2011. This is also the wine chosen for the Gourmet Odyssey Wine Experience.
Silver Medal! Not just one, but two medals for Château de la Bonnelière. The wine chosen for silver is the AOC Chinon “Chapelle” 2010.
It’s the first time ever that a Chinon wine has been awarded gold at this competition, so hat’s off to Marc Plouzeau and his team!
Domaine la Cabotte:
Gold Medal! For our new partner and their AOC Côtes du Rhône Village Massif d’Uchaux “Garance” 2011 red wine. This is also the wine chosen for the Gourmet Odyssey Wine Experience.
Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard :
Silver Medal ! Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard takes silver for the second year running. Silver awarded to their AOC Chablis « Sainte Claire » 2011.
Domaine Chapelle :
Bronze Medal ! For the AOC Chassagne Montrachet 1er cru « Morgeot » 2010. This follows hot on the heels of a silver medal last year for Domaine Chapelle.
