A great year of accolades for our partner winemakers

At this time of year, the main wine publications publish a plethora of reviews and awards for 2013 and 2014. We are very happy to see that, once again, our partners have been rewarded for the fruit of their labour with many appreciative comments and accolades.
It is also particularly pleasing to see our two latest partners who joined us for the 2013 vintage feature strongly.
Below is a small selection of the awards and entries that wines from our partner vineyards received.

Domaine la CabotteDomaine la Cabotte, in the Rhône Valley, saw the 2011 vintage of the wine chosen by Gourmet Odyssey, "Garance", selected in the "Guide des Vins en Biodynamie 2013", writing that it is a "great wine, full of fruit, very well balanced, full bodied with an intense aroma.

Domaine Stentz-BuecherDomaine Stentz-Buecher, our new Alsacian partner, had its Riesling "Steingrübler" picked for the prestigious Guide Hachette des Vins de France 2014.

Domaine AllegriaOur other partners weren't left behind. Domaine Allegria, the the Languedoc, was rated 14/20 in the 2014 Bettane & Desseauve wine guide for their Tribu d'A 2011 white wine - "made for gastronomy". Gourmet Odyssey has selected the red Tribu d'A wine.

Château de la BonnelièreOur Chinon based partner, Château de la Bonnelière, was honoured for the "Chapelle" 2010 and 2011 in the Guide Hachette des Vins de France and in the Revue du Vin de France's Best Wines under € 20 guide. The wine chosen by Gourmet Odyssey, the "Clos de la Bonnelière" was rated 14,5/20 in the Bettane & Desseauve 2014 Guide and described as being "suave and full-bodied".

Château Beau RivageIn Bordeaux, Château Beau Rivage won silver medal in the Decanter World Wine Awards for the Château Beau Rivage 2010, which was the first of the Gourmet Odyssey vintages at the winery. They described it as being "fragrant, pretty nose of blackcurrants and berries. Concentrated palate with a fine weight of fruit without being heavy. Firm, tannic finish."

Domaine ChapelleDomaine Chapelle's Santenay 2010 is selected in the Carité du Vin Bio et Biodynamique 2013-2014 organic and biodynamic wine guide for its elegant nose, smoothness on the palate and lovely fruity aromas.

Domaine Jean-Marc BrocardAnd lastly, Domaine Jean-Marc Brocard had their wines selected in most of the above mentioned publications. A particular mention for the wine selected by Gourmet Odyssey, "La Boissonneuse". The 2010 vintage was picked for the Guide des Vins en Biodynamie 2013 guide, and the 2011 vintage was awarded a bronze medal in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2013, citing "flint stone on the nose with ripe green-apple flavours on the palate and a precise finish. |
