Congratulations to our award winning winemakers

News from 01/02/2016

Our partner winemakers have got off to a great start to the year and the wine awards are flooding in. Whether at the Challenge Millésime Bio organic wine competition or in the specialised wine press, the quality of the wines from our partner vineyards have been rewarded.

Challenge Millésime Bio is an international wine competition that receives more than 1200 wine samples from France and from others countries around the world. It is always presided over by a well known personality from the professional wine world, and runs in parallel with the Millésime Bio organic wine fair. This year 1392 wines were presented for the 9th edition of this competition, and three of our partner wineries were selected amongst the medal winners.

  • The Clos la Bohème (Haut-Médoc) 2012 from Château Beau Rivage, near Bordeaux, won a gold medal
Eric and Marie-Pierre Plumet from Domaine la Cabotte, silver medal winners at Challenge Millésime Bio
  • Domaine la Cabotte in the Rhone Valley saw their Garance (Côtes du Rhône Village Massif d'Uchaux) 2014 awarded a silver medal. This is also the wine chosen by Gourmet Odyssey for the Wine Experience!
Jean-François Chapelle and Yannick Jacrot from Domaine Chapelle, bronze medal winners at Challenge Milléime Bio
  • Domaine Chapelle in Burgundy won a bronze medal for their Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot 2013 red wine.

Domaine Allegria, our partner winery in the Languedoc region of southern France has also had its new wine, the Poivre de Mourvèdre 2013, chosen amongst the best 100 Languedoc wines by the Terre de Vins wine magazine.

Congratulations to all.
