Domaine de la Guicharde is located in the south of the Rhone Valley, in the Massif d’Uchaux, a winegrowing region that is highly acclaimed by wine lovers. The winery has been organically certified since 2008, and biodynamically certified since 2010.
The winery has 31 hectares of vines, an olive grove, and a further 20 hectares of woods and brush that help to create and maintain a rich and varied biodiversity. With views across to the Mont Ventoux, the Dentelles de Montmirail and the surrounding vineyards, it’s a fantastically picturesque and relaxing spot.
Grenache Noir and Syrah grapes are grown for the expressive and fruity Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages Massif d’Uchaux wines red wines. The winery is no stranger to the wine critics. The Revue du Vin de France wine magazine recently included the winery in its selection of the best wines of the 2016 vintage, and the wine selected for the Gourmet Odyssey Wine Experience won silver medal in the Concours des Vins d’Orange 2016 wine competition. The winery also had 3 of its wines selected in the 2018 Bettane+Desseauve wine guide for their Genest 2015, Pur Rouge 2016, and Terroir du Miocène2015.
