The Loire Valley, famed for its châteaux and vineyards… It’s in this beautiful region of France, charged with history from the days of the French monarchy, that Gourmet Odyssey found the latest partner for the Gourmet Odyssey Wine Experience.
Château de la Bonnelière, located near the medieval town of Chinon, is a magnificent wine estate that covers nearly 20 hectares. It has been in Marc Plouzeau’s family since 1846 and, when he took over the running of the winery in 1998, he immediately set about converting all of the vines to being cultivated organically. Since then, his wines haven’t stopped to win medals and be acclaimed by the critics!
The Château de la Bonnelière AOC Chinon red wine, chosen for the Wine Experience, is 100% cabernet franc. Fruity, vibrant and generous, it expresses the richness of the surrounding terroir. A royal wine!
